Conceptually, you tell Chatterino to use a different chat-server than Twitch; this one. This means all chat traffic is routed through this server and relayed to Twitches chat servers by default. For some channels, you can activate an "override" which then uses this janky server to process messages instead of passing them to Twitch.
Okay, for this, you need to set two environment variables for Chatterino.
First, if you don't have already, create a desktop shortcut for Chatterino. Open the start menu (press the Windows key) and search for Chatterino. When it shows as a result, click "Open file location". After an Explorer window opens, right click Chatterino (if you're on Windows 11, click "Show more options"), then go "Send to" > "Desktop (create shortcut)"
Next, right-click the shortcut on your desktop and click "Properties". In the Properties window paste the following BEFORE everything in the "Target" field (make sure there is a space between "START" and what was there before).
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c "SET CHATTERINO2_TWITCH_SERVER_HOST=comments.b-dr.ink&&SET CHATTERINO2_TWITCH_SERVER_PORT=6697&&START
And AFTER everything, put a "
Click "OK"
Now, open Chatterino and go to your jacobjohns_ channel. Type in /override to activate the override, then press Ctrl+F5 to reload.
It should now hopefully work (Prayge).
